Follow our cool and concise style, let\u2019s go straight to the point. How to deal with the features in the particle functional box while making a particle effect?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, run your \u201cYouTube Movie Maker\u201d and click the upper left circle \u201cCreate a Particle effect \u201c button to open Particle Effect Maker UI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can see a setting bar of particles as below. Since we didn\u2019t pick any layer, there is no particle effect on the display screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can pick several layers or check the box of \u201cVisible Layer\u201d to enable all layers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the box of any layer in \u201cTexture\u201d line, you can change image into text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, we check the box of the second layer in \u201cTexture\u201d line, and click the blank button behind, and then we type \u201cABC\u201d in the pop-out window. You can also change its font settings and align settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click \u201cOK\u201d and the particle of the second layer became a text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to change the texture of each layer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right-click the texture of which layer you want to change and you will see an option bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click \u201cMore\u201d, a source bin will pop-out. And you can scroll the mouse to get more choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also pick one provided in the option bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or you can click \u201cBrowse\u201d to local upload a *.png texture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right-move the scroll bar and you\u2019ll see more setting options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some images with an opaque background, you must check the \u201cZ Buffer\u201d box to transparent their backgrounds. For those images with a transparent background, we also recommend to check the box of \u201cZ Buffer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t check the \u201cZ Buffer\u201d feature, the particles can only be emitted in a 2D space. In other words, checking the box of \u201cZ Buffer\u201d is equal to enable the Z axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSmoothing\u201d is used to soften images those with a sharpen outline. Check the box of \u201cSmoothing\u201d, the images will be more natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cKeep Rotate to Direction\u201d feature is a little complicated, because it have to cooperate with the values of the \u201cDirection\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 1:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We set the value of the \u201cDirection\u201d as 0.01, 0.02, 0, we can see the particles falling down towards the intersection where X, Y, Z is 0.01, 0.02, 0 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 2:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We set the value of the \u201cDirection\u201d as 0.01, 0.02, 0, and set the angle as 90 without checking the box of \u201cKeep Rotate to Direction\u201d. Then we can see the particles rotated 90 degrees clockwise, falling down towards the intersection where X, Y, Z is 0.01, 0.02, 0 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We set the value of the \u201cDirection\u201d as 0.01, 0.02, 0, and check the box of \u201cKeep Rotate to Direction\u201d. Then we can see the particles rotated a certain degrees clockwise, falling down towards the intersection where X, Y, Z is 0.01, 0.02, 0 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We try to figure out what the \u201ca certain degree\u201d is related, so we only change the value of the \u201cDirection\u201d into 0.01, 0.01, 0 and remain other settings unchanged. Then we see the rotated degree changed. Therefore, we can sure that the rotated degree is related to the value of \u201cDirection\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, the accurate rotated degree is 0.01\/0.01(equal to 45 degrees).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In summary, when we enable the \u201cKeep Rotate to Direction\u201d, the image will clockwise be rotated an X\/Y degree again after rotating the degree set in \u201cAngle\u201d. <\/a>That\u2019s all for today.
